I have been reading Spook Country and I'd really like it if we could discuss some of the ideas he presents within our context. It would be best if we had all read the book rather than discussing my synopsis as then we would each bring our perspective. I think some of the ideas he brings up would be interesting for us to explore in a deeper way in relation to our previous discussions about time and multi-fractured overlays of time/the grid, etc. I'd prefer to dig into this one with some rigor if everyone would be interested to read the book. Again the title is Spook Country. It's from 2007 and is set in 2006, kind of.
"Notable locative media projects include Bio Mapping by Christian Nold in 2004,[6] locative art projects such as the SpacePlace ZKM/ZKMax bluecasting and participatory urban media access in Munich in 2005[7] and Britglyph by Alfie Dennen in 2009,[8] and location-based games such as AR Quake by the Wearable Computer Lab at the University of South Australia[9] and Can You See Me Now? in 2001 by Blast Theory in collaboration with the Mixed Reality Lab at the University of Nottingham."
